The Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum

Valentino Garavani is expected to unveil what he is describing as a “virtual museum” this morning with a to-do at the Museum of Modern Art. (Anne Hathaway is presenting, along with Amit Sood, the creator of the Google Art Project.)

Giancarlo Giammetti, the designer’s longtime partner, gave me a preview on Friday, and let me tell you, without sounding too gushy, it’s spectacular. While a lot of designers have been opening self-aggrandizing museums of late (think of Gucci’s new digs in Florence), the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum is a desktop application that has the look and feel of a video game, and yet presents roughly 300 of Valentino’s iconic designs in a way that is far more elegant than a physical museum could ever hope to be. Like most girls, were always shopping. With collections slowly arriving we can see what trends are dieing and which are becoming classic staples that you could invest in with confidence. So those electric blue pumps or that bright red coat you’ve been second guessing is still available in your size, have no fear and buy it! It may have seemed too trendy at first, but bright reds, greens, mustard’s, blues, textured sleeves, peplums and maxi length skirts are already showing a strong force in the few Pre-Fall collections on Style.com

Versace for H&M party

Last night, the Versace for H&M collection was launched at a celebrity packed event in New York!

Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Alexander Wang, Linda Evangelista, Emma Roberts, Uma Thurman and Ke$ha joined Donatella Versace at the specially designed building on the Hudson River in New York.

Over 500 specially invited guests entered the world of Versace already on the red carpet. At the specially designed building on the Hudson River, Donatella Versace was joined by Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Alexander Wang, Linda Evangelista, Emma Roberts, Uma Thurman, Chace Crawford and many many others. The Versace for H&M collection was shown on the catwalk alongside with some iconic pieces created just for this exclusive show. A second scene in this fabulous venue was entered by Prince and Nicki Minaj who gave an exclusive consert. A glamorous after-party followed in true Versace style for hours…

San Francisco

I went to San Francisco this past weekend to have a little getaway from LA for a few days. My best friend lives in lower Height area and this time while visiting her I took advantage of her location. I didn’t do too much shopping but I manage to stop at a Nordstrom Rack (BTW it has the most amazing designers I’ve ever seen at a Rack. . .Lanvin, Balmain, Proenza, and more!)

I wanted to try a few baked goods! I was really disappointed in the macarons from Miette! I even tried every flavor they had to offer! However I wasn’t disappointed in Dynamo Donuts! Super friendly staff that helped me pick out the flavors. I can’t believe how delish a bacon donut could be! This is going to be a must have on all my future visits to the city.

Nine West

I have been on a sole search lately! I don’t know what has gotten into me but every time I shop I make sure I check out the shoes first. I’m trying to have fun with my shoes so I can get more creative with my outfits. My favorite right now are the electric blue Calvin Kline pumps and my nine west over-the-knee boots. I wanted boots that looked similar to the Christian Louboutins without the price tag!

After reviewing the entire collection I must admit there are some horrid pieces (the handbags are just too ugly if you ask me). However not all is lost. There is something for everyone. The mens pink suit is pretty dope along with the all black look above. I’ve selected my favorite pieces below. The embellished full-skirt is a must have for me and who knew a fur vest could look so sexy!
