My Make-Up Must Haves

StylishFaith's MakeupI’m not a beauty expert but I’ve spent a lot of time trying out countless products that work best for me. Though many trial and errors I’ve built up a decent makeup collection! A signature look is important to me and with my makeup routine these products help me achieve that. I thought I’d share the products and tools that I couldn’t live without!

  1. Lancôme DÉFINICILS – High Definition Mascara: This mascara has been in heavy rotation for over a year now! I’ve tried so many different mascaras and this one is by far the most lengthening and thickening mascaras for me. I find it very hard to get the same results with my lashes when the bristles on the brush are too long or it’s too thick. I think the type of brush you use makes a huge difference! I also like the long lasting look Lancome gives me. Another option is Eyeko skinny brush mascara.
  2. Make Up Forever – Step 1 Skin Equalizer: I’m always on the look out for a good primer. My make-up artist friend recommended this to me last year and I have to say I am thankful for this tip. When I’m being too lazy I’ll just wear the primer, mascara and fill in my brows for a simple fresh face look. I have very oily prone skin and this primer is pretty good at helping control that. However, my favorite primer for oil control is Hourglass veil mineral primer. I have yet to try a primer better for oil control than this one!
  3. Hourglass – Foundation/Blush Brush No.2: This brush is perfect for liquid and powder make-up. I love that it doesn’t soak up the product either! Before I kept finding that my brushes were doing that. I also love the way it applies and is streak free. This brush perfectly blends in your makeup, flawless finish.
  4. Too Faced – Kabuki Brush: I mainly use this brush for applying my setting powder and for quick touch ups. I love that you can adjust it to control the amount of the brush you may want to use. It really helps getting my powered around my nose area. I have this brush on me at all times because it’s so quick and easy to use.
  5. Giorgio Armani – Luminous Silk Foundation: Now this foundation changed my life! I’m not adventurous when trying new foundations. When I find something that works for me I like to stick with it, especially when it comes to foundations. Now being that I have oily prone skin I have to make sure I use an oil control moisturizer and primer to make sure I don’t get to oily throughout the day because this of the silk finish. Color 13 is the perfect match for my skin and I don’t need to mix colors to match my skin tone.
  6. Maybelline – Fit Me Concealer: OMG I’ve been using this concealer for YEARS! Seriously the best concealer I’ve tried. Super lightweight and easy to blend in. I don’t think any others can compare to this!
  7. Anastasia – Brow Wiz: I love this because it’s easy to use on the go. It does run out pretty fast but it’s so worth every penny.  All my brow products are by Anstasia, I’ve been in love with her products since I first started taking care of my brows.
  8. Giella – Eye M Glam: I’m obsessed with Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. He created this custom blend highlighter. This is my go to highlighter. A little dab on your brush goes a long way. It adds the perfect “strobbing” effect without too much shimmer. If you prefer a liquid highlighter I highly recommend Giorgio Armani’s Fluid Sheer.
  9. Christian Louboutin – Velvet Matte Lip Color: I know these lipsticks haven’t been out that long but this is my favorite lip color! I love a classic red lip. I tried every shade of red Louboutin had to offer and this was the perfect color like is classic red soles. It’s long lasting and gives the perfect amount of shine. Before I discovered Louboutin’s rouge lip color I was back and forth between Givenchy’s Le Rouge in Grenat Initié and Tom Ford’s lip color in Scarlet Rouge.
  10. La Mer – The Mist: Another beauty tip I’ve learned from following Mario Dedivanovic is using this spray before moisturizing and after applying my makeup for a dewy finish. I don’t always spray before moisturizing but anytime I wear make up I use this as my setting spray! If this is a little too pricey I recommend Urban Decay stetting spray.
  11. Trish McEvoy – Bronzer Brush #37:  My bronzer goes on evenly with this brush. Flawlessly blends my powder in. I’ve tried many bronzer brushes and this is by far the best. Definitely worth the splurge.
  12. Beauty Blender – The original: I used to be cheap buying the knock off versions. Trust me it’s worth the splurge. Once you switch over you will thank me! After finally figuring how to properly use a beautyblender I use it almost everyday. Contouring, blending my concealer, etc. So light weight and easy to use. I also recommend using their cleaner too.
  13. Ardell – Demi Wispies Lashes: Not pictured because I’m all out at the moment :-(! But these are the best! Super natural look and feel. I love that I always get asked if those are my real lashes when wearing them. Best bought in multi-packs because I use them so much. I’ve tried extensions, individuals, high end lashes, mink strips, you name it and in the end I’ve always came back to Ardell’s demi wispies.
